Let's load up on our protein!
I'm back!!! This year, I aim to post more recipes, not just share content
on my social media. In the background, my life has been busy, and this year,
more personal life changes are coming; if you follow me, you have some idea.
But I still want to make the time to get back into recipe development and
food photography and find my passion again.
Can you believe I've had this recipe in my drafts for three years? It's
crazy. I had to watch the video of me making it to remember how, lol. That
being said, it got added to this week's meal plan so I could recreate
it.
As you can tell, it has simple ingredients, is quick to cook, and is very
comforting. It's a great way to use that little bit of fresh cream left in
the fridge, and it pairs beautifully with crisp salad or hasselback
potatoes.
You know the drill. I shared the method twice, one with step-by-step
pictures and one without. This makes it easier to follow along and reference
how each step should look.

Ingredients
1 Chicken - cut into pieces
1/2 tsp Freshly Minced Garlic
1/2 tsp Grated Ginger
1 - 2 tsp Red Chilli Paste
1/2 tsp Onion Powder
1 tsp Chilli Powder
1/4 tsp Salt (or salt to taste)
1/4 tsp Pepper
1 1/2 tsp Worcestershire Sauce
1 Tbsp Lemon Juice
1 - 2 Tbsp Mayonnaise
1 Tbsp Tomato Sauce
2 tsp Chicken Spice
1/2 tsp Cumin Seeds
1 Sliced Green Chilli
1/2 tsp Crushed Garlic
1/2 tsp Grated Ginger
1 Sliced Onion
1/2 Cup Fresh Cream
Garnish - Freshly Chopped Coriander
Method With Step-by-Step Pictures
1. Marinate your chicken pieces with ginger, garlic, red chilli paste,
onion powder, chilli powder, salt, pepper, Worcestershire sauce, lemon
juice, mayonnaise and tomato sauce.
2. Heat oil in a pot over medium heat. Once the oil starts to heat, add the
cumin seeds, sliced green chillies, garlic, ginger and onions.
3. Saute the onions on medium heat until they soften and turn translucent.
Once they are ready, add them to the marinated chicken.
4. Brown the chicken on each side for 2 - 3 minutes, then mix it with the
onions.
5. Add 1 1/2 cups of water and turn the heat until it boils. Turn the heat
back down to medium-low and leave to cook for 30 - 40 minutes, making sure
the sauce does not dry out.
6. Next, add the fresh cream and simmer for 5 more minutes so the sauce
thickens and the flavours combine.
7. Finally, before serving, garnish with some freshly chopped
coriander.
